Pollak to Guide The Gordian Group’s Growth, Diversification

 

MAULDIN, S.C., Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — The Gordian Group, a leading construction pricing data, procurement software and services business for the construction industry, today announced the appointment of William L. Pollak as chief executive officer (CEO) and member of the board of directors. Mr. Pollak will lead the ongoing development of the company’s Job Order Contracting construction-procurement systems, which it pioneered more than 20 years ago, as well as its expansion into data publishing.

Mr. Pollak brings 30 years of experience in the information and data publishing industries. Most recently, he was president and CEO of ALM Media, LLC, which publishes The American Lawyer and other leading legal-information publications and products. His career also spanned 16 years at The New York Times Company, where he led the newspaper’s circulation and advertising departments.

Mr. Pollak’s appointment is a key component in The Gordian Group’s plan to expand management resources and accelerate the company’s growth. The company’s founders, Harry Mellon and Robert Coffey, continue in their roles as chairman and president, respectively.
