Gordian Wins United States Postal Service’s Supplier Performance Award

Gordian, the leading provider of facility and construction cost data, software and expertise, announced today it is a winner of the United States Postal Service’s 2020 Supplier Performance Award. This award recognizes Gordian for demonstrating outstanding value and helping the USPS achieve its mission of providing exceptional mail service to the American public in 2019.

The USPS Supplier Performance Awards program is reserved for key suppliers that have consistently exhibited a collaborative business relationship with the Postal Service to achieve bottom-line savings or increase revenue or performance results. Out of more than 14,000 suppliers the USPS worked with in 2019, Gordian is one of only 13 organizations to receive this prestigious award.

“All of the suppliers recognized have demonstrated their commitment to helping us achieve our mission, said Mark Guilfoil, Vice President of Supply Management for USPS, when virtually presenting the award.

Since 2002, Gordian has partnered with the Postal Service to deliver best-in-class Job Order Contracting (JOC) solutions, expanding from a single regional facility to an essential nationwide program. JOC is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) construction delivery method that allows many projects to be completed through a single, competitively-awarded contract.

Due to the significant time savings and collaboration of the JOC process, the USPS was able to complete more construction work and minimize downtime while keeping facilities operational and safe. Gordian’s JOC solutions have helped the Postal Service achieve several million dollars in new cost avoidance over the last two fiscal years.

This is the third time the USPS has recognized Gordian as a key supplier in the last nine years. Gordian also received the 2016 Supplier Performance Award and the 2011 Supplier Excellence Award.
