An interview with Cammie Keeter, Partner Success Manager at Gordian

In our interview, Cammie discusses how her personality directly correlates to her work, how she defines and achieves success and why it’s okay to eat cake.

Can you explain your career transformation and success with Gordian?

I came to Gordian three years ago to fill the newly created part-time position of Channel Administrator. The role has evolved from primarily administrative to more customer-facing. My career prior to Gordian spanned a number of industries and was centered around accounting and finance, office administration and customer success. The wonderful thing about my position as Partner Success Manager is that I can pull in all of my previous experience to this one role.

Briefly describe your job and an average day.

I don’t have an average day, as it seems every day is different — which I love! I touch a variety of areas. On any given day, I am interfacing with our valued Partners and creating an outstanding experience, crunching numbers and producing data to assess our performance as a business unit, and collaborating with Marketing to provide valuable and insightful content for our Partners.

What do you like best about your job and career path?

I am customer-obsessed and I love having the opportunity to help our Partners grow their business.

How does your work impact our customers and our communities?

The construction cost estimating RSMeans data we provide through our reseller partners is an invaluable resource. We save countless hours of research time that can be better spent growing their business. Hours saved correlates into cost savings and success for our partners and their end users. Our data helps our partners amplify their solutions and allows their customers to plan and estimate faster and more accurately than ever.

Tell us a little about yourself. What do you like to do when you’re not at the office?

Between my husband and myself, our combined family consists of three children and four granddaughters. We are also pet parents to two dogs. In my spare time I enjoy golfing, traveling and spending time at my family’s lake house, which is my haven. Time spent on the water boating, kayaking, floating or just relaxing on the dock soothes my soul.

What inspires you? Both in your career and personal aspirations.

I am a total extrovert!  Interacting with people, learning from them and learning about their lives inspires me. I find everyone has some sort of wisdom to impart; we just have to be open to receiving it.

What is your favorite part about working with Gordian’s RSMeans data Partner Network?

I enjoy being a part of my customer’s success. Adding value to their product means success for all of us.

How do you define success?

To me, success is achieving the goal or purpose you set out to achieve.  When I have given my all and have the feeling of a job well done, I have succeeded.

Can you give us a piece of advice for your peers and colleagues in the industry?

Always do your best, act with integrity and don’t take yourself too seriously.  Life is short — order the dessert!
