The New RSMeans Online 7.0 Provides Customized User Experiences, Stronger Tools

New features estimate construction and maintenance costs during building’s life cycle
Greenville, S.C. – The Gordian Group, a leading provider of construction cost estimating data and analytics and procurement solutions, introduced today RSMeans Online version 7.0. The release introduces a new cloud-based, life-cycle cost-reporting functionality and newly customized features designed specifically for use by facility managers and academic users.

Facility managers will be able to predict lifetime costs of both new and existing facilities and create custom reports for short- and long-term maintenance and replacement costs. The Life Cycle Costing feature allows users to fully leverage RSMeans data for estimating costs associated with maintaining an existing facility. These and other enhancements were a result of close collaboration with customers.

Using broader and more accurate preventive maintenance data, facility managers will be able to build more effective estimates. In addition, users will be able to customize RSMeans’ facility maintenance and repair data’s preventive maintenance schedules. They can edit tasks and frequencies – add, delete and tailor maintenance forecasts based on the needs of their own facility and equipment.

RSMeans Online Version 7.0 also offers improved search capabilities for all users, as well as a new customized package for academic users. Its features are designed to facilitate students in the estimation and creation of reliable construction estimates. The new Academic Package also includes sample instructional assignments for curriculum building and provides access to commercial and residential data and square foot building models.
