Harry H. Mellon, Chairman

Chairman and Founder of Gordian, Mr. Mellon is responsible for providing programmatic and technical expertise for developing and implementing JOC programs. Mr. Mellon invented the family of contracting systems known as JOC in 1981 while serving as Chief Engineer, Army Corps of Engineers for NATO operations in Europe.

After retiring from the Army Corps of Engineers, Mr. Mellon realized that any organization would benefit greatly from the advantages of JOC. In 1990, he started Gordian for the sole purpose of providing the consulting services, software and documents necessary to develop, implement, and support JOC programs.

Prior to starting Gordian, Mr. Mellon served as a Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Federal Services Division at CRSS, Inc. At CRSS he was responsible for a full service architectural/engineering design division consisting of two regional offices. Mr. Mellon served as the Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager for numerous Federal, State and City projects ranging in value from $55 million to $130 million.


William L. Pollak, CEO

Mr. Pollak joined Gordian as Chief Executive Officer in 2012. He is responsible for the ongoing development of Job Order Contracting systems, as well as the expansion into data publishing.

With an extensive background in the media and information industry, Mr. Pollak has a record of guiding transformation and creating value in the businesses he has led. Most recently, he held the role of president and CEO of ALM Media, LLC for 14 years since the company's formation. There, Mr. Pollak led the company through its transformation from a traditional, print-based publisher into a digital provider of paid news, business information and workflow tools. Prior to that, he spent 16 years at The New York Times Company, where he led the newspaper's circulation and advertising departments.

Mr. Pollak serves on the boards of MultiView, Inc., publisher of digital advertising directories for associations, and iCopyright, a provider of content monetization services to publishers and bloggers. Mr. Pollak is a graduate of Harvard College and has an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.


Michael Behringer, President & CEO, Liaison

Michael Behringer is Liaison’s Chief Executive Officer and President. He is responsible for the company’s vision, strategy, and operations. At Liaison, Mr. Behringer draws on more than 20 years of experience in the information and service industries to set bold new directions for the company and create a culture of success. Prior to joining Liaison, Mr. Behringer was Executive in Residence at the private equity firm, Warburg Pincus. Previously, Mr. Behringer was Chief Operating Officer at Canon Communications, and has held senior management roles at Primedia Inc., and Discovery Communications. In addition to serving as Liaison’s CEO, Mr. Behringer is also Executive Director of the Columbia College Alumni Association and Co-Chairman of its Annual Fund. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Mr. Behringer earned his B.A. degree from Columbia University and his J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law.


Alex Berzofsky, Managing Director, Warburg Pincus

Alex Berzofsky is a Partner at Warburg Pincus where he focuses on investments in the logistics, technology and business services sectors. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Coyote Logistics, MercuryGate, FacilitySource, Dude Solutions, and Construction Market Data. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Berzofsky was part of the mergers and acquisitions group at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Berzofsky received a B.A. in economics from Harvard University.  


Bill Flemming, Former CEO, Skanska USA Building

As former President of Skanska USA Building Inc., Bill Flemming was responsible for the overall management and operations of the unit, which has 3,000 employees in 26 offices and nearly 600 active projects. To provide clients with the most innovative technologies and top expertise, Mr. Flemming established Skanska’s Centers of Excellence for sports and entertainment, healthcare, federal, mission critical and aviation.

Before assuming the helm, Mr. Flemming served as Co-Chief Operating Officer for the company’s Boston, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey operations. In this role, he managed prominent projects such as MetLife Stadium and the Fogg Art Museum at Harvard University.

Mr. Flemming holds a B.S. in both construction management and architectural engineering technology from the University of Cincinnati in addition to a M.B.A from Golden Gate University.

He currently sits on the boards for United Way of New York City and the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He is also a member of the World Economic Forum, the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers and the New York Academy of Sciences.  


Justin Sadrian, Managing Director, Warburg Pincus

Justin Sadrian joined Warburg Pincus in 2000 and is based in New York after leading the firm’s West Coast office from September 2012 until June 2016. Mr. Sadrian focuses on internet, software, and information investments. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sadrian worked at J.P. Morgan in their investment banking and private equity groups. He is a Director of A Place for Mom, Avalara, Dude Solutions, Endurance International, The Gordian Group, MultiView, OfferUp, and PayScale. In addition, Mr. Sadrian is a Vice Chair of Friends of Hudson River Park. He received a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
